Mina Pizarro


Juni Pastry Chef Mina Pizarro first ventured into the culinary world when she found a work-study position at the Institute for Culinary Education. Then, a formative internship at Daniel Boulud’s DB Bistro Moderne led to a job offer.

Chef Pizarro continued to hone her skills under a series of influential teachers in fine-dining kitchens, including DB, Le Cirque and Per Se.

Chef Pizarro then worked as pastry chef at Veritas and SHO Shaun Hergatt before decamping to California, a pivotal change of scenery and mentality. Returning to New York, Chef Pizarro took the helm at Shaun Hergatt’s Juni, where she blends West Coast vitality with New York sophistication into her creations.

Color In Sight brings together 11 experts of industry, gathered around one powerful, little detail: color. We explore how top brands—ranging from Nike and Pantone to OPI and Herman Miller—think about and use color in the most effective and compelling way. By hearing their own experiences, the goal is to bring about an appreciation for the detail of color selection and how it can have a large impact on the perception of products and services enjoyed by many.
