PALATE: Mild, exquisite warm notes
PURPOSE: A sophisticated moment
Tung Ting ("Frozen Summit") varietal oolong leaves, grown in the ancient mountains of San Lan Shih.
Ingredients
Estate oolong tea
The tea gardens in this region were originally brought to Taiwan by Scholar Lin Fong Chi from Wuyi, Fujian province in the 18th century. Reflecting our internal belief that oolongs should be of lower fermentation (greener), this oolong undergoes a short fermentation to refine the flavour and orchid character. Grown at 800 m elevation, the Tung Ting region is usually covered by fog and clouds which facilitates concentration of flavour.

I'm new to the world of oolong and gongfu teas, but I think I'm addicted to oolong now. I bought the sampler pack and was impressed at how pretty it was. When I tried the tea (after improving on my brewing skill), I was impressed how delicate and floral this tea is. It was a refreshing change from the usual black teas like earl grey/english breakfast. I now have a daily cup (or two after resteeping) of oolong and also love that it's not too caffeinated to eep me from sleeping at night or get crashes but just enough to perk me up in the morning.
This has such a smooth and delicate flavor. Easy to drink with a vegetal flavor almost a bit like seaweed.
Amazing! The leaves look and smell beautiful. The taste is that of a good quality oolong.
