About This Blend
Orange Pekoe is a term used in the grading of black tea made in the orthodox method. It has nothing to do with the quality of the tea. It has nothing to with orange flavor or color either. In the market, there are many teas labeled "Orange Pekoe" just because of the catchy name, causing further misunderstanding to the customers. The term "Orange" originates from the Dutch Royal House of Orange-Nassau. Pekoe is a Chinese word describing the spring buds of the tea bush which are covered with "down."
