For Sencha Fukujyu Cha
Although both Chinese and Japanese Green Teas offer immune boosting and health-giving properties, they are inherently different in terms of their palate and character. Chinese Green Tea has slightly twisted tea leaves, typically presenting a light, clean and refreshing palate, while Japanese Green Teas have flat folded leaves that often omit a nori-like, vegetal palate.
Green tea is what we like to call a self-drinker. It should be served plain with no additions, to preserve the palate it presents.
When over steeped, and prepared at the incorrect temperature, green tea releases tannins that cause the tea to taste bitter. To avoid this bitterness, green teas should be steeped between 30 seconds and 1 minute at a temperature of 180° F or 82° C.
All tea, whether it be White, Green, Oolong or Black, comes from the same plant, the evergreen shrub Camellia Sinensis.

I love, love, love this tea. I have tried several of the green teas on this website. While I have enjoyed all of them, this one is my favorite.
Quite possibly the greatest tea of all time
When I first tasted this tea, I thought "I may never be able to leave this hotel again. This tea is just so absolutely delicious I cannot imagine going home to the tea I have at home." Thankfully, the front desk staff assured me I would be able to purchase the tea from TeaLeaves which is exactly what I did. I know that due to FDA regulations, the manufacturer is forbidden from extolling the incredible health benefits their product offers but let me assure you TeaLeaves can do much more than you imagine. Foods taste more divine. My marriage is in a much stronger place. My children call me more. I cannot say with certainty that my purchase of TeaLeaves led to such a drastic improvement in my life but I cannot not say that either.
I drink a lot of tea. A lot (especially as I quit drinking coffee) and having spent much time in Japan, I can attest that this tea is as good as it gets. I highly recommend it. I drink a whole pot throughout the day and never feel caffeine jitters and, in fact, can still take a nap without any issues. It’s a gentle, nuanced tea that I drink everyday now. Highly recommended.
