Notes from the "Conductor", Warren Long, Mixologist at Manoir Hovey.

"When trying to come up with a cocktail for [TEALEAVES] I wanted to do something that would be aromatic, after all, tea is as much about the aroma as the taste. I have always found that iced teas limit the aroma, so doing a hot drink seemed the natural course. Also, as noted, it is winter. The Nutcracker tea is perfect for the season: the Sortilege Maple Liqueur matches well and brings a little Quebec to the drink.

However, Sortilege is quite sweet, so I added a simple whiskey.”

Clara Cocktail

½ oz. Sortliege Maple Liqueur
1 ½ oz. Scotch
Dashes of Cacao bitters
4 oz. TEALEAVES Nutcracker Loose Leaf Tea (or more to taste)

Instructions

Add ingredients into teacup.
Serve in brandy snifter for presentation.
Use brandy warmer to serve hot. The warmth will release the aroma of the scotch.
