"Dandelion is part of the Ayurvedic apothecary and prescribed in Chinese medicine. Dandelion was deliberately introduced to North America as food and medicine by European settlers: a non-native invasive species brought by a non-native invasive culture. [Dandelion] grows with little input (indeed, often against the grower's will!). Labeling dandelion a "weed" has wasted a vast amount of nutrition and culinary opportunity. I'm delighted that TEALEAVES is showcasing this pandigenous gem." - Philip Stark, Berkeley Open Source Food
"Flavanols in cocoa have been studied for many years. They have been shown to help lower blood pressure, improve blood flow to the brain and heart, prevent blood clots, and fight cell damage." - Harvard Medical Journal
