Ingredients
Mint Julep Iced Tea
- 2 Tsp. TEALEAVES Organic Health & Well-Being Loose Leaf Tea
- 2 Oz. Russell's Reserve 10 Year Old Bourbon
- 1 Tbsp. Mint Simple Syrup (see below)
- 2-3 Sprigs Fresh Mint Leaves (for garnish)
Mint Simple Syrup
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- 1 Cup Fresh Mint Leaves
Instructions
Mint Julep Iced Tea
- Take 2 Tsp. TEALEAVES Organic Health & Well-Being tea and steep in 8 oz/236 mL. of hot water (82ºC/180ºF is ideal).
- Strain the tea after 1 minute, cool.
- Muddle the mint leaves at the bottom of a Collins glass.
- Fill the glass half full of ice.
- Mix the whiskey and simple syrup, and pour over ice.
- Fill the rest of the glass with Organic Health & Well-Being Green tea and stir.
Mint Simple Syrup
- Combine sugar, 1 cup of water and mint in a small saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and cool.
- Strain through a sieve.
