Monsoons swoop, swish and swirl in misty peaks. Rare orchids dot rugged cliffs. Mirroring lands below, hard hide and soft feathers unite in mutualistic balance.

About This Blend

Known as the "Champagne of Tea," this second flush Darjeeling embodies the region’s distinctive character. The name Darjeeling, meaning "Land of the Thunderbolt," reflects its dramatic landscape. Only black teas cultivated, grown, and processed in the hilly areas of Sadar, Kalimpong, Kurseong, and Siliguri are permitted to bear the "Darjeeling Tea" designation.

Despite the region’s annual production of just 10,000 tons, global sales exceed 45,000 tons, leading to the proliferation of counterfeit Darjeeling teas. This rare whole-leaf tea is graded FTGFOP (Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), distinguished by numerous golden tips and long, wiry leaves. Each batch must be carefully cupped to assess its true character and precise grading.
