AROMA: Vibrant citrus fragrance
PALATE: Rich, memorable intensity
PURPOSE: Magnificent joy
An equal balance of bright, coppery Ceylon black tea with conservative bergamot notes
Estate black tea, natural bergamot oil
Bergamot oil comes from a small citrus fruit grown in Italy (first press and cold pressed), lending its distinctive aroma to this traditional estate black tea. For those who prefer slightly more subtle citrus notes than our Flowery Earl Grey, this Imperial blend is an equal balance of bright, coppery Ceylon black tea with conservative bergamot notes.

Normally I find most Earl Grey's very unbalanced. Sometimes they're too bitter, not enough bergamot, too much bergamot, tastes too much like a dessert tea as opposed to something to help wake me up in the morning, or has some other unconventional ingredient that reminds me nothing of the wonderful Earl Grey teas that I can get pretty much everywhere I go when I'm in the UK. I've found almost any Earl Grey I purchase from a local tea shop in Vancouver I need to cut with some other tea to balance the flavour. However, Tealeaves Imperial Earl Grey is absolutely perfect as it is. I'm so glad that I finally found an Earl Grey that I can drink every day.
I have been buying this tea for a long time. For 12 years I have traveled the world sampling teas along the way. This tea has come the closest to the subtle and fine aroma and taste of Earl Grey. Hard to find but you know when you do. You can’t go wrong with this tea.
For sure it's a different experience than with regular grocery store tea. Everything from packaging to magnificent aroma and taste makes you just sit there and enjoy your cup of tea for 15 minutes straight.
