Kravet’s 2011 Blogfest has the participation of more than 100 top design bloggers from all over the United States and Canada. The bloggers descended on NYC for a three day design and media event created by Kravet. The Blogfest brought together seven of the top shelter magazines, offering bloggers an unprecedented access to the editors of each magazine. Our very own Editor, Jason Kontos, introduced Barbara Barry yesterday at one of the most inspiring events yet. Barry shared her inspiration and design process with the bloggers, afterward hosting a “tea party” in the Kravet showroom where the attendees were invited to sample Barry’s new Citrine line of tea. The iconic designer’s new line of fabrics, aptly titled Indochine, were also on hand for bloggers to peruse.
Kravet Inc. has organized Blogfest from its inception as part of a continued commitment to stay at the forefront of the digital movement in the interior design industry. The Kravet brand has developed several technology-based tools to improve the way customers find and purchase products, and has added a social media element to its marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and communicate with customers and industry influencers. Through Blogfest, Kravet hopes to bridge the gap between the individual design blogger and the magazines, brands, designers and the events that inspire them daily.
