Thierry Chouquet


Food and Beverage Director Thierry Chouquet has overseen the operations and programs of Hôtel Americano with exquisite taste and knowledge of everything food and beverage ever since the hotel opened in 2011.

Hôtel Americano, nestled in Chelsea, New York, is the first outpost of Mexican Hotelier Grupo Habita. It offers an array of dining experiences, from The Americano Dining Room where French fare with a Latin flair composes the menu, to an ever-changing seasonal roof top restaurant, and not to mention the savvy in-room Bento box dinners.

Thierry gained his industry knowledge first by working with the Alain Ducasse Group in Paris, and then when he moved to Essex House in New York City in 2001. This offered the opportunity for him to work with Danny Meyer at The Modern, and after with Top Chef Geoffrey Zacharian.

Now established with a Mexican-rooted group, Thierry discovers new flavors and savors them; “I especially like pairing our Oaxacan chocolate fondant with TEALEAVES Classic Orange Pekoe, or infusing tequila for our seasonal Margaritas”
