Mary brings a diverse background to her venture, MDA Hospitality Solutions, LLC. Prior to her work in higher education, Mary built a strong reputation with some of the most prestigious brands in the food industry, including The Walt Disney Company, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Fairmont Hotels.

Drawing upon premiere industry knowledge and front line experience, MDA Hospitality collaboratively works with owners and operators to achieve long-lasting food and beverage results by effectively diagnosing challenges, strategic planning and enacting appropriate procedural changes.

MDA Hospitality is the product of Mary D’Argenis’ academic and technical experience working with the most prestigious hospitality companies and passion for realizing significant business results. During her time with these companies, Mary effectively diagnosed financial opportunities and implemented solutions to maximize profit and eliminate unnecessary expenses.

At Fairmont Hotels, Mary significantly improved flow-through and profitability. The food and beverage team achieved the #1 ranking for both staff knowledge and creativity. Mary was named team leader at the Mandarin Oriental Miami for the problem solving technology initiative. And, as an opening leader for the Four Seasons Miami, her team achieved a string of media accolades for superior service.

The Walt Disney Company was the catalyst for Mary’s love for all things hospitality and food and beverage. It was there were she exceeded the benchmark for employee engagement and was named a Partner in Excellence, representing the top 1% of the company. During her tenure, she also achieved unprecedented increases in net contributions.

Mary’s passion to develop led her to higher education where she has served as an instructor of hospitality management at Miami Dade College since 2003 and helped implement the college’s culinary program; one of the largest culinary arts programs in the United States.
