Joseph Trevino


Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Chef Joseph Trevino’s appreciation of local ingredients comes from his uncomplicated approach toward food: he first discovers new and distinct flavours by fully immersing himself in the particular region. After this, he re-introduces classic favorites using the newly-discovered fresh ingredients, combined with an artful presentation, to create unique dishes that resonate with diners.

With a career history that spans over more than 15 years of fine dining experience, his passion in the culinary arts lies in the reinvention of classic dishes with his own signature twist. Chef Trevino has held Chef de Cuisine roles in many well-respected restaurants and AAA Five Diamond Hotels and Resorts such as Ventana Room at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Preston at Loews Miami Beach, and Dux at The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, where he received an Ivy Award from Restaurant & Institutions magazine in 2006.

It was this positive reputation that earned him the Executive Chef position at the Westin Hotels & Resorts and subsequently convinced The St. Regis Atlanta staff that he would be the best candidate to lead the hotel restaurants. As the Executive Chef of The St. Regis Atlanta, Chef Joseph Trevino oversees all culinary operations of the AAA Five Diamond hotel and its award-winning on-site restaurants.

He creates his menu with the diners in mind, identifying the audience and finding the best ways to connect with them. To appeal to the customers of The St. Regis Atlanta, Chef Trevino is creating multiple bourbon-inspired entrees in time for the release of The St. Regis Special Selection’s third vintage bourbon.
