Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Chef Joseph Trevino’s appreciation of local ingredients comes from his uncomplicated approach toward food: he first discovers new and distinct flavours by fully immersing himself in the particular region. After this, he re-introduces classic favorites using the newly-discovered fresh ingredients, combined with an artful presentation, to create unique dishes that resonate with diners.
With a career history that spans over more than 15 years of fine dining experience, his passion in the culinary arts lies in the reinvention of classic dishes with his own signature twist. Chef Trevino has held Chef de Cuisine roles in many well-respected restaurants and AAA Five Diamond Hotels and Resorts such as Ventana Room at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Preston at Loews Miami Beach, and Dux at The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, where he received an Ivy Award from Restaurant & Institutions magazine in 2006.
