Israel Benyair has been in the hospitality industry since completing his Bachelor Degree at the Vatel International Business School of Hotel and Tourism Management in Bordeaux, France in 2002.
Beginning his career as the Assistant Food & Beverage Director at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva, he later moved to the United States, also as the Assistant Food & Beverage Director at the Mandarin Oriental Washington DC. He left this role after he was promoted to the position of Food & Beverage Director in Mandarin Oriental Boston in 2008. During his time in Boston, he was able to oversee the grand opening of the property.
Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, Mr. Benyair later seized the opportunity to return to his hometown when the position of Director of Food & Beverage Director at the esteemed Beau-Rivage Hotel became available. Leaving the United States to come back to Europe, he held this position at this unique, family-owned property until he made his return to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group once again.
Israel Benyair is currently the Food & Beverage Director at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva and oversees all food and beverage services at the property located in the heart of Geneva.
