Chef Aaron Meneghelli’s passion for food started at an early age when he would joyfully help his grandmother prepare countless Italian meals in her kitchen. Those fond memories–surrounded by food, family, and traditions–encouraged Aaron to pursue the culinary arts. The sense of community around a dinner table is what inspires him most about cooking.
Aaron completed his studies at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and returned to Napa Valley to the Robert Mondavi Winery. Working at the winery, he traveled to France, working with French chefs and enhancing his culinary skills. He also broadened his knowledge about the pairing of food and wine.
Aaron’s prior experiences include Michelin-celebrated restaurants and the award-winning Calistoga Ranch. He now holds the position of Executive Chef at The Farmer & The Fox at Cairdean Estate in Napa Valley. The restaurant, with its leather banquettes and checkered marble floors, sets an elegant backdrop to Aaron’s modern take on the traditional British gastropub. Drawing from his culinary roots and the region’s renown for farm-fresh agriculture, Aaron applies his unique culinary style to dish after dish.
